Elf setback on Saga is not so important
but this one is always preferd by the
latter employees. (June 11.

logically assessed that Norsk Hydro offer
was the best for the company, as employees
representatives prefered Elf
offer. Norsk Hydro, who intends to break
up Saga and to retrocede 25% of its
assets to Statoil, indeed foresees far
more positions cuts than the french
group. Moreover, Saga trade unions called
for a strike on Thursday June 17.
