The originality of ATTAC , starting from a proposition made by “Le monde diplomatique” was to organise around the same table components from popular education associations, social movements and unions , linking the press , around a common goal in which they could all feel involved: to recover the position lost by democracy to the financial sphere.
The second originality was the construction of a configuration linking a national directorate,where individuals have an overriding role and the local structure - largely autonomous within the limits of the constitutional platform of the association- mainly composed of individual members. To be frank, this architecture had not been entirely theorised in advance : It is the development of ATTAC that has “produced it” In all evidence the future will lead to further innovations… |
